I hold had a Dell Inspiron Laptop for nearly 4 years now. i plugged contained by the power cord because the battery be just almost flat. Instead of the green battery restrained coming on, i have 4 ginger flashes, then 1 green flash. This is continually repeated over and over again. The freestyle still does charge, but doesn't hold it charge like it used to. It make no differece if the power cord is plugged in or not, it still flashs. Is this a indication my freestyle needs replacing??

Sorry, I can't sustain you with the flashing muted problem, but you might want to visit the Dell support site and look for recall on your battery and/or power supply.
A significant number of units are at risk of exploding or pose a significant fire menace, so swap 'em if you can. Dell laptops seem to enjoy a high number of recall, so much so that they've set up entire websites to deal next to these problems. They usually replace them for free and most often, shipping is free too.
Just fashion a note of the serial number on your battery/power supply and laptop model number and start digging.
