Computer...seeing that a laptop, itself, is one.
For everyday tasks my desktop, of late because it's so much faster than my laptop.
Can't beat laptops on trips though (or class when I be still in college).
Using both, they respectively have nearby sweet spots.
But I like using my notebook more.

Computers hold large advantages over laptops.
One is, you can efficiently upgrade hardware. Another is, the monitors on laptops are normally locked to one resolution.
Also, Laptop's ARE computers.

computers are more powerfull but i prefer laptop at the moment.. more comfortable and i can money rooms whenever i want, and the best is at night when i can enjoy it in bed
I be lucky enough to be capable of have both. Laptops allow mobility which is obedient for school, work, or basically writing when the mood strikes.
Desktops have upgrades as a plus. A laptop cannot be as confidently upgraded.
I tend to use my laptop for writing and scheduling. My desktop is mostly for gaming, music, etc.
Computer.
It depends what you want to be able to nick it around or not, if you just want to move off it in one place afterwards deffinately get a computer. They are cheaper and own alot more/ better specs.
A laptop is a computer!! I think you tight laptop or desktop. I would prefer a laptop because it's portable and convenient.
