Mac sucks plain and simple! Apple users only product up 5 percent of the computer user market, if that doesnt make available you a clue, go out and look at any software you might be interested contained by, look at the requirements. You will find a hundred applications that run on a PC to every 1 Mac app!
Get one with Vista, will be cheaper and compatible next to more software.
Mac of course Vista is have problems it will take at lowest possible a year to work through the bugs of the new OS

OSX is a fantastic operating system. And with the Intel processor Macs you can run Windows on it if the necessitate arises.
The quality of Macs is superior, but for that you'll money a heftier price than you would for most Windoze machines.
I suggest neither. Buy a laptop without a system and install Ubuntu, which is a free, fine Linux system. You may find it similar to Mac, but it has be proofread and edited by MANY people over several years. Vista be built quickly next to no previous code base, and as such it is not compatible near anything else and there are plentiful security loops. Apple add extra fees and their operating systems can be expensive and confusing. It's up to you, but Ubuntu is considered one of the best because of its many free programs: GIMP representation editor, WinE Windows Emulator, etc. Good luck with your laptop, whichever you choose

Vista, there is close to no programs that I see on the shelf that work with the macs. And also as far as the macs jump, they suck! I used one at my school and it be a pain contained by the A $$ alone to just turn the supid point on because the power button is hard to find and partly the time didn't work.

Go with vista because in that will be more programs for it, but wait at least possible 6 months if you can so that microsoft can make service pack for it si that it is more stable because it is still fairly buggy at the moment
Mac, they're flowing to use and OS X is stable, there are comparable software that don't crash as recurrently as windows sofware does and to top it adjectives off, the untried Intel Macs can run windows.
Vista have a lot of bugs to fix and most of the window software are not compatible with vista all the same.
