What's your suggestion for a laptop to be used lately for wifi access to email and to monitor movies?

I'm looking for something reliable and inexpensive. Any site recommendation?

Those are two sites that may be helpful to you. Pretty much anything beside 512MB of memory or better and WIFI built in will do that career for you regardless of cost.
Go with a Dell. They're cheap and own plenty to meet your desires.
