How do you delete manual characters the right of the cursor on a Mac?

Like on my PC.. Instead of Backspace, I press the Delete knob and It clears text to the right of my cursor... However, on my MacBook, I singular have a delete switch.. but it functions as backspace. Is there a bearing i can delete characters to the right on my MacBook?! Thanks!

Just hold down the 'Function' key (bottom, leftmost switch; labeled "fn") then press the 'delete' knob. That's it!
