once you have a cat (panther, tiger, or leopard) adjectives updates are free.

But a Leopard is a different cat from tiger.

You will have to retribution for it, I'm afraid. Apple gives nil away for free, nor should they.
everything good have its price and so would leopard, i am also waiting for the same, but i am pretty sure it would be worth the price, Apple really make some nice stuff.
No Mac OS X has ever be free (Except for 10.1, because 10.0 was crap and 10.1 be a "we're sorry" gift)
