Changing the USB ports on a laptop?
(I own a new expensive laptop which is broken and surrounded by the workshop and am using the old one at the moment so I know it works fine apart from the USB problem!)
Answer:
You're not going to be capable of change the ports, as they're built into the motherboard. If your laptop have a pcmcia bus slot, then you can simply buy a USB pcmcia card bus and give additional ports that road. Here's an example:

Depends on the manufacturer. Older Samsungs for example enjoy the USB ports on a separate board, however later models and other manufacturer have the USB ports on the motherboard. Even so, a trial motherboard should be cheaper than lb499.
