I doubt whether it have a quick "restore to factory condition" remedy.. Most probably you'd need to do it the easier said than done way.. GEEK STYLE =)
adjectives you have to do is reformat your complete hard disk.. (don't forget to backbone up your important files)

Then, use your system restore disk (it comes next to the laptop, or at least should come next to it) and reinstall XP... If you don't have the disk, lately buy a new window XP installer and it'll work just fine, but, it won't own some of the special features that came along near the laptop.. OR call Acer and ask how you could catch hold of the installer..
