Do touch pad on laptops drive you insane?
Answer:
Had my touchpad for 2 years.
If I am surfing the network it is no problem once I got used to it.
If I am working, especially word processing, it unsteadily moved my mouse around so I am typing in the wrong place. THAT drives me totally nuts.
Of course for games it is totally worthless. As previously said, grasp a real mouse
shut it past its sell-by date and get a mouse.
Yes, they are ok if nil else is available. That's why I keep a usb laptop mouse contained by my bag!
Mine have its moments. It works fine at school, but at home it doesn't for doesn`t matter what reason.
I installed a USB wireless mouse. I can use both if I want at alike time no problem. You can plug in a wired USB mouse. XP should detect it lacking extra software.
Oh yeah! They tell you that you will gain used to it. Like getting used to having a broken leg. I try not to tolerate it drive me mad wibble fizz parp.
Because you're other resting your thumbs down there and moving the mouse around?
Yeah I detest that too. I had to educate myself to keep my hand more spread apart on the keyboard so I kinda have to adjust to the different way my hand were pointing so I would hit the right key. Keep your thumbs on the space bar at adjectives times on the ends and that SHOULD help.
disable it
look for something call synaptics touch pad, or if it's a lenovo, run to thinkpad configuration and disable the ultranav
I've gotten so use to the touchpad on my Mac that I find it hard to work near a mouse for day-to-day stuff. I still like a correct optical mouse for graphic design work though.
Sometimes it does, similar to when I have to drag and drop, especially when I want to play games. That's why I bought an external mouse. Using an external mouse (PS/2 or USB) is easier to use than a touchpad.
