Wireless router is working but my laptop won't work on "wireless." What could be wrong ?

There may be somewhat button on the side that may of been pushed, or slided. It happen a lot to me. If in attendance is, push it across, and hopefully the light will turn blue. Also, nearby may be something called "wireless WLAN." If this is not on, it will never work. Usually this is at the bottom of your taskbar, by the time. The finishing thing I can recommend is looking surrounded by your internet options, and if you see something checked that say "work offline," the internet will never work, either. Hopefully you can find the problem, and if you can't fix it, try contacting your internet provider :) They can usually provide the best information.
first, formulate sure the wireless adapter on your laptop is on and working. then using the cd that come with the router, you will requirement to set up the laptop with the mark of the router and the wep key. plug the laptop into the router near a cat5 cable, run the set up disk
With first answer : the mac address is on the wireless router , The wep key is on the modem within brackets .When asked for this key( ten numbers in brackets) copy it minus the brackets.
you need to check the hook up and if that does not work than nearby mite be something wrong with your wireless card fitting luck
it depends on the problem...has it ever worked since??if so and it just adjectives of a sudden stopped then try unplugging power supply to the router.this happen to mine sometimes.plug it back contained by and it works fine..but if it has never worked next the problem should be notebook isnt recognizing the router...contained by which case you requirement to install the software that came near the router...hope this helps..
