THE RIBBON CABLE CONNECTS YOUR KEYBOARD TO THE MOTHERBOARD IN THE LAPTOP.RIBBON CABLES ARE ALSO USED FOR CONNECTING YOUR LAPTOP LCD OR DISPLAY SCREEN TO THE MOTHERBOARD.
ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS REMOVE THE KEYBOARD REAL CAREFULLY (TRUST ME RIBBON CABLES SNAP ANYTIME)CHECK AND SEE IF THERE IS ANY SOCKET UNDER THE KEYPAD .
THE SOCKET SHOULD BE WELL FITTED WITH THE RIBBON CABLE.
NOW YOU CANNOT JUST PUSH IN THE RIBBON CABLE IN THIS SOCKET .THUS THE SOCKET HERE NEEDS TO BE UNLOCKED .
NOW TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THE SOCKET ON YOUR LAPTOP AND SEE THAT WHERE YOU INSERT THE RIBBON CABLE THERE IS A BRACKET LIKE THING WHICH NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT FORWARD BY A TWEEZER OR A NON PLASTIC DAMAGING OBJECT .BE REAL CAREFUL .
NOW AS YOU PULL THIS BRACKET FORWARD IT SHOULD NOT DETACH FROM THE SOCKET BUT IT SHOULD ACT LIKE AN EXTENSION .
NOW AFTER THIS INSERT THE RIBBON CABLE GENTLY INSIDE THE CONNECTOR(AT THIS POIJNT YOU MAY BE WONDERING WHICH SIDE UP,WELL ITS DEFINATELY NOT THE COPER CONNECTORS SIDE UP OR WHAT I MEAN THAT IF YOU SEE BARE COPPER CONNECTORS ON THE RIBBON CABLE YOU DO NOT CONNECT THIS UPSIDE BUT THEY SHOULD BE FACING DOWN.
NOW AFTER DOING THIS SIMPLY REVERSE THE STEPS I TOLD YOU FOR UNLOCKING THE SOCKET FOR THE RIBBON CABLE OR JUST AFTER YOU INSERT THE RIBBON CABLE .NOW TIGHTLY SECURED THE BRACKET AND PULL RIBBON CABLE VERY GENTLY TO SEE IF IT SNAPS OUT.
AFTER THIS OPERATION IS SUCCESSFUL PLEASE DO LET ME KNOW.

The ribbon cable fits into a small connector. THe unmarked keyboard will call for to have it's ribbon cable connected to the right connector. If you look closely, you will see how it go in.
