Can you burn "too much" beside a laptop dvd-r?

I'm within a band, and I burned 200 copies of a cd on my laptop dvd-r drive contained by about 1 week. Did I completely rubbish away at the drive by doing that? Give or take, what's the burning fitness of drives in vocabulary of hundreds of times...

the laser will procure weaker every time you use it,I had a panasonic for 2 years & have to get another one,get a sony now,I adjectives heaps with the 1st. one but dont know how heaps
you can indeed burn too much. as was said above, the drive simply has a restricted number of burns in it's average lifespan, after which it will stop burning and/or working at adjectives. As laptops tend to get pretty hot when they work out, you're best sour burning large quantity somewhere else next time :)
