Answer:
The drumbeat feature of the Touchpad have got disabled. You obligation to enable it from Mouse Properties.

1. Go to Control Panel.
2. Double-click Mouse statue
3. In the mouse Properties, click the Touchpad software tab (if Synaptics is installed on the notebook, then "Device Settings" tab should be available. If Alps software is installed, consequently "Gestrues" tab should be available).
4. There, you should be finding a Settings button.
5. Browse through the settings, and you should be finding an option to see the "Tapping" feature of the touchpad. Enable the side and you shld be able to use the touchpad to select items.

(Since you hold not provided the information pertaining to which touchpad software is installed on the notebook, I am unable to guide you completely, contained by enabling this feature).

All the best.
mice capture tired of doing all the work. somethings it requests it some it dont, unless you downloaded some malware to conflict with it.
Its one of the most irritating things. What I found to hold worked is allowing all drivers to start running as usual. This path at least your "touchpad" will be up and running.

Press start.
Click on "Run"
Enter "msconfig.exe"
Then lower than the "General" tab select "Normal Startup"
Click on Apply, then OK.
