I hold Vista installed on my laptop and my video card is too lacklustre, What can I do?

I am looking for a means of access to run vista on my computer, not caring around not being competent to use all the debonair features like areo. I am expirencing video playback problems when using medium player. The video is slow and choppy while the sound is common. Vista runs fine for the most part besides that. My laptop meet the rest of the requirements for vista. Any suggestions?

vista's requirements are rediculous,
1GB of RAM, if you have ample (1 GB) than you still need more to run apps and enjoy smooth video playback. look at your system and see take your RAM and subtract 1GB, to be exact how much RAM your comp actually have usable after vista. my guess unless you ahve a really nice computer, than you dont have more than 256MB of free RAM. You cna freshly buy more.

or you could upgrade your video card.

you can try and upgrade your video card but it might be hard to find one to fit your comp
