Answer:
MackBook Pro, 15' or 17, which one would you prefer?
The 15" notebook will be easier to get around if you like to tote yours and if the peak cracks it will be much cheaper to replace than the 17". The 17" may use more battery power but will also provide more viewing space. I would choose the 15" one-sidedly but the 17" is the top of line.
Glossy peak or Matte?
Glossy screen provide more color saturation thant he matte but the matte peak wont reflect as much neutral. So its kind of a coin toss. I've heared that Apple silky-smooth screens are great.
Glossy screen are normally chosen by professionals because they provide truer color when working beside videos and pictures but it should spawn no difference to non-professionals.
Any big difference between 2.15Ghz and 2.33Ghz CPU?
There isn't much difference between the processors but the actual model is difference because with the 2.33 model you return with more RAM and more video memory which will make the computer much faster for pictographic intense projects. The $500 difference is worth it if you are a professional or work a lot next to editing.
I will install windows Vista on it. Can I do so in need it takes up my HD space and memory?
Hard to read aloud, you should expect it to take in the order of 20-40 GB depending on what and how much you use it for.
Where can I get I-Alert-u?
I don't know.
Should I linger on the next OS of Mac?
The subsequent version of OS X includes core animation as okay as a large number of features so I would definelty dally.
Will Windows run smooth on my Mac as smooth as on Windows PCs?
It will run exactly the same as on other systems.
Why Mac is not a gaming system although it as a Powerful CPU?
It adjectives has to do beside the OS. Windows contains coding that gaming companies are better aquainted with and because Apple doesn't hold a huge market share it tend to get sidelined by these companies because they aren't getting a huge amount of profit from the sale of Mac based games.
Thank you for the answers. If you contemplate they're more things I should know, please have me informed.
Mac's suck. you should find an HP. you cant do diddly squat on a mac. they catch virus's quicker and you can barley do anything on them. GET AN HP!!!!
The creature above (Mystic) comments are inverted to reality. She must own never used a current Mac, I've used everything (DOS to Vista, Solaris, IRIX, Linux, BSD, Cromix, Next, AIX, HPUX, CP/M, etc.) and owned everything, the MacBook Pro is the best computer I've ever owned or used.

17" is pretty big, it's what I have but I do video editing. 15" is correct, but I wouldn't like not have the 17", so get it. If you don't nurture too much about the money, you MIGHT termination up with two... the smallest one and the largest one. They're addictive.
matte for sure. Glossy is a enthusiasm, it reflects EVERYTHING. Matte looks much better.
2.15 2.33 not noticable
No Vista will at LEAST filch up memory, you could have an external drive, but you should lately buy Parallels and install it on the drive. No big deal, you don't hold to ALWAYS run it, when you're not, no memory used. I'm running Vista AND XP, they both work and I avoid using them at all cost because it sucks compared to the Mac newspaper.
I have no model what I-Alert-u is
No don't wait, this is great
Windows runs BETTER on my mac
no hypothesis about games, I'd intuitively buy an X-Box to play games on
screen size depends on if you want it to be easier to get so if your gonna be carrying it around in alot next i say acquire the 15inch but if your not gonna be carrying it around alot then carry the 17inch
hmm well i expect that the glossy peak looks alot better in photograph quality but the matte might shipment alittle less
i would travel for the 2.33 cause the faster the better
and as far as i know you cant put Vista on it solely windows XP
and as for the gaming thats because most games are made next to windows programs so if you put XP on it, it should work beside most of the games as long as you got a fitting video card like nvidia
WOW! that mystic human being doesn't know ANYTHING bout macs. there WAY better than pc's. they dont detain viruses. why do you surmise ppl call pc's, pc's? cuz their piece a cake to hack into. mac's hold way cooler features on them.
apposite choice in going for a mac!!
15" vs 17" will depend upon what you plan to use it for. If you want to transport it around a lot, stir for 15" because it's smaller. If you plan to do video or graphics work and don't mind the size as far as lugging it around, go for 17".
Matte eyeshade - less look angrily.
I'd say for for the faster CPU. The faster the CPU, the longer it'll run for the computer to become obsolete.
Vista will pinch up HD (I think you entail 20GB free) and memory (at least 1GB)
I'd read out yes, wait on Leopard. It's rumored to be released within June.
Windows should run smoothly, although it helps to own lots of RAM.
As for games, the issue is that companies don't write games for the Mac platform. Some do, but very few since Microsoft dominates the bazaar and many don't perceive that porting their games to the Mac is a worthwhile investment.
17' Mac glossy, no significant enactment between 2.15 and 2.33Ghz
Installing Vista 2 ways
1. Install as a virtual machine using parallel software (will run windows at in the region of 91% cpacity)
2. Install on a separate partition and dual boot near boot camp
You can other upgrade to the new OS and yes probably you can wait (not that long)
Macs hold the hardware but the OS is written so that tasks are divided evenly and not like window were tasks are prioritized making window better for gaming
mac's are great systems, i personally don't enjoy one, but i use one quite frequently.
it will NEVER catch a virus
It will RARELY crash
2.33ghz will show an increase in speed
window will install fine, and i hear it does run better, I suggest installing on a seperate partition so it will not cart up memory, but will HD space.
You can always upgrade to the subsequent os
games are not designed for mac, this is as simple as most people hold a windows base computer, the market to flog games is higher for window users. Mac is great for design and running fluently. You can always get hold of an emulator to run windows games.
I won't know how to answer ALL of your questions, but I CAN utter you won't be disappointed. I was raise a PC girl. I bought my first MacBook Pro this past August and I surely love it. I got the 15" eyeshade because the 17" was TOO big. If you're extraordinarily into graphics, watching movies on your computer, a graphic designer, or if it's going to sit on a desk for its undamaged life, the extra two inches might be nice. For mundane use - word processing, internet use, etc.- 15" works just fine. Plus, if you're planning on toting it around, it's more endurable. I also went next to the matte screen. It be a personal preference - I feel like the sleek screen be too bright. You're already giving your eyes a hard time by staring at the eyeshade, why blind yourself? My computer is running Mac OS 10.4.9. The trouble with foreign systems coming out is that a lot of other programs won't be compatible beside yours for awhile until all the kink are worked out. You may want to consider that when thinking about waiting for the subsequent Mac OS. And finally, I'm just running the Microsoft Office suite for Macs, and I haven't have any problems with it. I haven't hear about Vista for Macs but...but from what I've heard give or take a few Vista for PC's, I don't think I'd want to try it. It depends on the types of programs you entail, but you know that already.
Okay, so I answered what I could. I hope that it's at least rather helpful! Regardless, meet to the Mac world!! It takes some getting used to, but you're going to love it.
Glossy will look brighter and shinier, but sometimes it's not as upright looking because it can be annoying to the eyes. I also believe glossy screen are more prone to scratching. But I would choose the gleaming screen, because it's brighter and in consequence better.
A 2.33 Ghz CPU will be slightly faster, but not by very much. You'll see a 5% or so speed increase, but if upgrading costs too much, you might not want to do so.
Installing any Windows or Mac OS software take up hard drive space and memory. Don't verbs, because laptops aren't designed to store very much. They own small drives because that saves freestyle power. If you're really nervous more or less storage capacity, buy an external intricate drive sometime for about 200 bucks and bring back a few hundred GB of storage. It'll be enough for music and pictures.
I surmise a major OS release will be coming subsequent year, but for now everyone's still using OSX and will be doing so until at smallest the end of 2007, because Apple plans to release a current version of OSX sometime in the past June.
If the CPU is an Intel CPU, then Windows should run simply as smooth as on a standard non-Mac computer. But keep contained by mind that Windows sometimes crashes, so it's not perfect.
Macs are not gaming systems because terrifically few developers choose to write games for Macs. Most gamers use Windows, because it's so much more customizable. But a few games have appeared on Macs, and at hand will be more coming. For me, Starcraft on a Mac is enough (I'm a die-hard disciple, as you can tell).
The CPU has intensely little impact on gaming compared with the graphics card. The CPU freshly figures out where on earth the game unit are. The graphics card defines what it looks approaching, which is a much more demanding job. Make sure you own a dedicated graphics card, not integrated graphics. Anything that's ATI x1800 or superior or Nvidia 7600 or better will run today's games at reasonable speeds or so. I'm not a laptop gamer so I individually can't say.
An Intel-based Mac will run Windows better than OSX, for some source. But if you're not fairly proficient next to the computer, OSX might seem to be a more user-friendly choice.
MAC's aren't neccessary better than PC's, Both computers hold their strengths.
When developers make Video Games they use both MAC and PC's, they use macs for rendering, audio and photo clarity, and for Pc's they use it for pixel shader and animation by using authentic people, plus Maya (3-D animator) is more complex beside PC.
MackBook Pro, 15' or 17, which one would you prefer?
17 inch because it helps your monitor 8ms expand to 16ms for faster viewing.

MAC Geek Squad
Should I linger on the next OS of Mac?
Leopard is going to be fun beside a lot of bright experiencing to do, no do not wait because you can other upgrade.
Will Windows run smooth on my Mac as smooth as on Windows PCs?
No it will not because windows have its own source.
Why Mac is not a gaming system although it as a Powerful CPU?
It can handle games, but their aren't copious big titles to choose from. Majority of them are on PC because Bill Gates makes deal with most of the souk industry.
Thank you for the answers. If you think they're more things I should know, please enjoy me informed
(Mac's need profusely of memory in demand for it to run properly)
here's a link to them on ebay.
