Hardly any space on my complex drive.?

I used to hold about 6 GB of free space on my laptop, and after running a couple of restorations (system restore), I very soon have something similar to 800 MB. I am confused and dont know what has happen. Is there anyway I could retrieve my free space lacking having to delete anything. I am afraid I might delete things that would impose a malfunction within my machine. I am a initiate in computers. PLEASE HELP!!!

Answer:
When u own system restore in ur system, it creates checkpoints. This take a lot of space. U can turn sour system restore & delete all the content contained by the system restore folder, which will be in secret state by default (hope u know how to attitude hidden folders).
do disk verbs up ..or go to my computer the on the departed side will be add/remove programs delete the things you dont need and that should create more space on your harddrive
Sounds close to you need to read the instructions...
Delete restore points, Disk Clean Up, Add or Remove programs, Delete files you don't really have need of that might be big. Add or Remove programs is a good bet because you can't bring down your computer with it unless you remove a program you want.
