How can restore your health the files from my crashed HP notebook?

My 2004 HP notebook have crashed. I was installing 2006 HP photoprinter software, and the laptop crashed disappointingly. Now, when I turn it on, it tells me Windows did not nouns properly, and asks me if I would like to start contained by safe mode or from the end know functioning point, or other options. I enjoy tried all the option, but every time it starts trying to load, and next just restarts itself formerly anything comes up. I went contained by using F12 and it could not load the operating system to even diagnose. Is in that a way for me to retrieve my files? There are a lot of impressively important photographs and research papers on this computer - so I am desparate. If the laptop itself is a loss, that's fine, but I really enjoy to get those files - that is to say why I am afraid to send it into HP repair approaching they wanted me to - I am afraid they will wipe my easier said than done drive. Start ur system in Safe mode or finishing good agreed configaration option.

Unfortunately my hard drive's system background was RAW, so I have to format it into NTFS and recover the files beside a recovery program (that I don't remember what it's call, a friend gave me his) I could get better all the pictures I have, but nothing else (Office documents, video, etc.)
