Please abet me find the mic within my Dell laptop Latitude D610?

This is my 1st time using a headset next to this laptop. I have never used the mic that supposedly comes next to the laptop. I went into Yahoo Messenger "Call Set Up" to set up the mic and the speakers but the Yahoo Messenegr system solely picked up the sound from the speakers but not from my voice.

Here is what I hold done:
1. make sure within are no mutes
2. all wires are plugged contained by the right hole

Where is the mic in my Dell laptop? How do I turn it on?

if you hold the little folder that came near it it will show you,or go to your dell support documents (you can find it by clicking start,later all programs)it will show you polite luck
