Wireless problem beside Acer notebook?

I enjoy an Acer notebook and until recently my wireless worked without a flaw fine, but now I can't take it working at all, how can I switch it hindmost on, there use to be rather red square on the task tavern that I had to motivate and it would turn green, this square has in a minute dissappeared.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Answer:
Hi, the wireless button on the Acer is on the front, not the side. It lights up surrounded by orange.

If this is on get to start, settings, netwrok connections, right click wireless connection, properties. Then progress to wireless networks, properties, connection. trade name sure automatic connection is ticked.
There should be a switch on the side of your notebook that have a satillate (sorry for spelling) by it. Try switching this.
Read your Acer Manual.

Then, ask yourself what you did just since it stopped working.

I hope you didn't upgrade to Vista!
hmm click on the start button then on connections find your nouns then click connect. that should receive you going that is the simplest agency with out writing a book :)
Go to "start" "connect to" " wireless gridiron connection" and just click to see the card.
If this fails some laptops hold a switch to enable/ disable wireless lan on the case somewhere, check your booklet for the location.
