My aunts and uncles are chipping surrounded by to buy me a laptop for my bat mitzvah. Which one should I pick?

I'd mostly be using it for IM, internet use, homework, and gaming (sims 2) but I'd prefer it to enjoy a camera. It needs to be a PC because I'd want to play sims but I really approaching the mac style. I'd like to own vista and I was thinking of a VAIO but I'm really lost. HELP?

Personally, I would stay away from Vista. I believe Dell still offers a choice between XP or Vista - jump with XP.
The Intel Duo Cores are enormously nice.
Going with Vista - get hold of 2 Gig of RAM - you will not regret it.
Get a nice video card to compliment the duo core and display your game. 256 MB or better.

So it is easier for you to apprehend, especially playing games like Sims 2, it is a right idea to hold enough memory on your computer. If you plan to type, use paint, etc consequently you may want a bigger hard drive. VAIO I vote no to. I have hear the outer cases are not very sturdy.
