Is this a righteous setup for $1481? Preformance sagacious can it play things close to battlefield 2 on big detail?

Sounds like a nice setup except for the Vista program. Have you checked to see if your games are compatible near Vista? A lot are not.
This is a fairly nice setup, the Core Duo will suit you very well for processing the in-game physics while the GeForce 7300 is a mid to high conclusion graphics card. You should have no problems!
The system looks correct except for 2 things. ( not an intel guy so no clue on the CPU)
1. change the video card, that card is a piece of second-hand goods. Go with a 6600gt, 7900os,7950 gt In my feelings. That 7300 card will not run much of anything on high detail.
2. Vista /gag. the lone good point vista have is that when its released is directx 10
Not a bad price for a laptop laptop. Although, the processor is a bit low end for it man a core 2 Duo. I may be concerned with overheating if I be you. It should play most games just fine, but I hear that with Vista, it eat up as much graphics memory as you feed it and make for slower gaming. Not sure if that is true though.
