i am looking for a biddable laptop for $600 or under......thanx

You can try to get hold of a Toshiba laptop under $600. If you can't find anything that low priced, try Tiger Direct.
Go for a Compaq - they're owned by HP and they're at clad prices. They redesigned the chassis of them in the recent past 6 months and they look pretty sweet too. The Compaqs are a good deal. Stay away from Acer, they don't come next to much on them as far as software and they have some motherboard issues.
