I own an Acer now which is the Aspire 5900 series. I prefer you dance with HP or Lenovo, Even though the specs are lower, they are made for a while bit more tougher and more durable.

i hold two acer laptops and my son has purely purchased an Acer.
and ive never had any trouble.im using my wife's laptop which is four years old-fashioned and only have windows xp home reinstalled twice.
