I'd support against torrenting a copy of Windows because it's a pretty hefty fine. Dell may be able to aid you replace your installation disk. Call customer support.
If you choose to do it your way, download the drivers for adjectives of your hardware, not just the wireless. There are several sites you can draw from them from. www.driverguide.com is a good one. It's free to register and they've get literally 1000s of drivers available.
Try also Dell's website. The last time I have to use it for a friend it was a headache in the butt, but adjectives the drivers there should work for your specific system.
Also, the hardware's businesswoman generally make drivers available. It's a good thought to check on these things all the time anyway as users report bugs that are fixed contained by successive releases (theoretically, anyway).
The point is, have your drivers in position to go when you reinstall Windows. Burn them to a compact disc so you have them adjectives.

well first using any torrent OS can be dicey and illegal, but more or less the wifi card u need to first give somebody a lift the card out and on it somehwere will read a model and version number. write those down along near manufacturer of card. consequently go to near website and d-load the driver for it. also since u have a dell the other drivers will be contained by a folder in c: labled drivers or dell/drivers. Burn those to cd, or email them adjectives to urself and have fun
Same entity happened to me. You will lose adjectives your original files. Best solution is to download the wifi software for dell, progress to their website and search for wifi configure software and download the program for your specific workstation. Save this on a seperate drive, ie) usb flashdrive, reinstall windows, reinstall the WZC program.

Risks...as you own said, your wireless card may not work after this.
My suggestion is that you look for your network card drivers from the website as economically. Download them and have them equipped to install into Windows once Windows is installed.
I.E. If you have a Linksys card, turn to the Linksys website and download the drivers for Windows XP. Keep those files ready (on a thumb drive or external strong drive or secondary rugged drive). Then once XP in installed AND if it does not certificate your Wireless card, you can use these drivers to install your card.
By default, XP does come beside wireless network card drivers and a prime controller. This should work to at least seize you online to download the XP patches and updates.
