Laptop overheating,cooling wad?

The cooling pads work... to a point.
The item is that laptops are designed to have sufficient cooling built surrounded by. Overheating only happen when there is an issue near airflow or dust.
The place that told you $80 to clean out your laptop does not deserve your business. If they be good population they would have told you to try a $6 can of compressed nouns and blow out the vents.
Which is what you should do. Get a can of compressed nouns and spray out all the vent on the bottom, side and back of the laptop.
Also, form sure you are not using the laptop on something that could be obstructing the airflow.
The residence "Laptop" is a bit of a misnomer. While it is true that they fit on your lap, human being on your lap blocks the cooling vent. Ideally it should only be used on a easier said than done level surface to aide contained by maximum airflow.
If that does not do it, then the adherent may have erstwhile. Bring it to a different repair shop to have it looked at.
I know mine help. I didn't have equal laptop as you, but my Targus laptop cooling pad really help. It would be better paying like $15 for a cooling wad than paying $80 for whatever they'd do to it.

Not an answer but usefull
Dont place your laptop on eg a pillow. Keep it on a flat suface so air can attain under afterwards it wont keet getting hot and shutting down.
good example: use table
