Computers have need of recomendation who make the best?

I want anyone next to computer knowledge to be honest beside me I'm looking for the best laptop on the market I'm depart to anything but gateway (gateway and I don't get along).I want something beside windows xp on it so anyone who can recommend a laptop that will stand up to continual use play DVDs and cds own 2gb memory and the ability to nouns Norton anti virus and Microsoft office and a wireless card .What is the best computer out in that for that. Thank you

Answer:
I would start by figuring your uses for the laptop. Few applications involve 2GB of RAM, so make sure that is to say what you need as it make the laptop a lot more expensive. DVDs players for laptops own been around for years and are outstandingly reliable, so I would not worry too much more or less that. All laptops can have Norton, Office and a wifi card added.

As far as which factory owner ... Dell, HP, Lenovo (formerly IBM) and Toshiba make thousands of laptops and are adjectives reliable suppliers. I would concentrate more on the features you want ... size, battery life span, display size, etc. and your budget and then pick 2-3 laptops that will come upon your needs and compare them and afterwards decide.
Buy Apple,Then You don't necessitate this Norton crap!!
But seriously, you can run windows on an Apple at present but hey,Apple's OS(X)is far superior.
Cheers
Apple sucks. Apple does have a better operating system but they are proprietary which channel that once you buy apple, you will always hold to buy apple. In addition, Apple does not close to to sell their rights to other manufacturer's which vehicle that you don't get nearly as much of a choice as Windows laptops AND Apple strictly controls the prices which mode that you will have to buy apple products within the future to move about with your laptop AND they can take home you pay doesn`t matter what they want. Apple is almost a complete monopoly in their own open market.

As for Windows, first of all, I don't regard that you will find Windows XP anymore because Microsoft came out beside Vista and that is what is on the brand new computers from now on. Second of adjectives, the question is how much money you want to spend and how exactly will the laptop be used.

If money is no express doubts to you (which is what I understand from your question) consequently for what you want to do (multimedia stuff) Sony will definitely be for you. Sony and Toshiba are both top of the row. But they can get pricey. And remember, if you want a powerful laptop next to a big screen so that you DVD's look awesome on widescreen, the laptop will be big and stocky so if you want to use it for school or business, walking around near a 9 pound laptop will hurt very in the blink of an eye.

So if you want a good multimedia laptop, it is going to be enjoy to be something which is not moving with you other. In addition, the more powerful it is, the more power/electricity it uses which way that it will heat up like a shot. So a very nice cooling accesory, such as a cooling wad or something will be needed.

I would get a Sony laptop next to an AMD processor. Most likely the RAM will be 1GB so if you really want you can buy more RAM and seize it added in. But think twice, adding this much RAM will be another $300 or so because the RAM modules that come surrounded by computers are actually 2 512MB modules and within a laptop you only hold space for two. This means that you can't of late buy another 1GB and be happy. You stipulation to take out both of the feeble 512MB modules and then buy two 1GB modules and replace them to grasp 2GB of RAM. Hardrive of anything more than 100GB would be okay. Maximum I think is 160GB. Wireless is standard on adjectives laptops. But if you want a faster version or a bettercard, you will obviously have to buy that seperately and acquire it installed.

As for software, Microsoft Office trial will probably be on there for in the region of 60 days and then you will enjoy to pay and buy your own full variation. If you know a friend or if YOU yourself can, get a full free (ahm.not legal) newspaper. If you really don't feel approaching spending another $400 on Office and you really hate piracy, consequently just achieve open bureau which is completely free and a bit better than the actual Microsoft Office.

In addition, DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY ON NORTON ANTIVIRUS. infact even if you can get hold of it for free, DO NOT USE IT. It is THE worst protection out there. First of adjectives, the price is ridiculuous. Second, the program will conflict with almost everything on your laptop and lead to problems. Third, it will SLOW YOU DOWN. The program has become so huge that it overtakes your computers, eat up your resources and takes forever to scan or do anything else. You computer will steal forever to start and it will lag big time.

Protection is unquestionably necessary especially if you are going wireless. Do not seize Norton and do not get McAfee. In reality, if you go to a store, anything they try to sell you do not catch it. If you want free (and very good) protection, grasp AVG for your virus protection and Zone Alarm for you firewall. They both also have spyware built contained by. These are very small, jammy to use, useful tools.

If you really want to spend a bit of money and procure the best protection, then distinctly go beside Kaspersky. This is a Russian based company next to offices base here in the Unites States and you can logically, buy and download from their website too.

Their suite is recommended but even the antivirus is good adequate. We often do test or repair infected computers so we run Norton, McAfee, AVG, and Kaspersky. The first two just lug too long and they still miss infections. AVG is quick but it also misses a virus sometimes. Kasperskyis the fastest and it have often picked out virus when all other have failed, repeatedly. For example, if you own a virus inside an compressed .zip record. Norton, McAfee, and AVG will not pick it up until you have unzipped the profile. Kaspersky is the only one which will pick it up AND verbs it inside the compressed file short making you uncompressing it.

If you find Sony/Toshiba too pricey, then walk for a HP and then lately buy the extra RAM and then effect would be one and the same if you only want to keep under surveillance DVD's and CD's.

Fell free to ask me if you have any other question
The best laptops do not come with XP. Microsoft is discontinuing OEM version of XP January 31, 2008 (in 7 months).

Something with WinXP ? That will give the Mac out. Most OEM now doesn't offer WinXp as an alternative except Dell and maybe some unreliable vendor. If that's what you want then your choice is restricted. There's nothing wrong next to Vista, it's a new OS so within bound to be some problem but Microsoft is releasing all the fixes on a regular rota. For a new laptop you don't want win xp because sooner or following people will be force to use vista only like when you walk from dos to win 31.1 to win95 to win98 to win xp. Most people who are have problem with vista is when they upgrade their laptop to vista. With a brand new laptop you won't own any old hardware that stipulation drivers and so on. As far as Norton, i don't recommend it for any PC. It has a proclivity to slow down your pc not to mention that it will end in conflict with some of your apps. In any casing, you can use Norton on a trial basis singular on the laptop until you pay for the subscription. ZoneAlarm guarantee suite is the best suite you can have. It have the Kaspersky antivirus engine, ZoneAlarm Pro firewall and Antispyware. For your laptop, you may want to take a look at Hp,Dell or Toshiba. In my honest evaluation, Toshiba makes the best laptop,Period.(especailly ones near the Harmon Kardon speakers --try listen with a music cd or survey dvd and you'll see why).
