Dell or Macs
toshiba hands down.
Apple for sure. Its so confident to use too.
Sony Mac SamSung. i wouldn't say dell or compaq and .. so much more.

dell's a pretty reliable, at most minuscule the latitudes are. the latitude, which come from the business line of dell, are incredibly reliable and built to last. the business vein also has excellent customer support and the latitude usually come with a non-attendance 3 year warranty.
the new inspirons are supposed to reliable as resourcefully, now that they are also built using magnesium alloy to some extent than plastic.
for customization easily HP or DELL. You can do so much to it on their site and preserve it realtivly inexpensive. Or within the starting price.

I've owned a Dell and a Gateway. My Dell had a crap nouns of problems but Dell didn't fix them. My Gateway had a few problems but fixed respectively for free (there's a 1 year warranty when you purchase it).
Problems with Dell:
-Crapped out soon, sent me the CD and stuff to fix it but charged me.
-AC adapter broke but not from wear and cleave...it was something wrong near it to begin next to. Didn't send a spanking new one.
-Keys broke (usually do), didn't fix them.
-Messed up screen (no crack or anything...it merely stopped displaying after a while).
Problems with Gateway:
-Same AC item, sent me a new one free of charge
-Same push button issue, sent me a new board free of charge
-Cracked hinge...distribute me a new one, free of charge.
If its a choice between Dell and Gateway, I'd turn with Gateway (but both phone services are dire but the online help for Gateway is great). I hear HP's are desperate.
I would say that Sony have the best laptops but they are the most expensive, hp is good but the one I enjoy has some issues, I am gonna own em fix it before the warranty get over. I wouldn't get a dell of Toshiba. Mac's I don't know much almost, I don't know if you are wanting to get a PC or not. If you are looking for really apt features that I would go for a mac though, you don't really hold to worry just about purchasing adobe products because the computer comes pre equipped.
