possible yes,, but is it a correct idea no. I read an article contained by MAximum PC anyway They state that there are little oddties when it comes to upgrading,, also they be not impressed and too many bugs...Windows Vista also have more services running then XP which manner your PC will be slower
Stick with XP ,, unless someone give you a free copy of vista to play with...
VISTA is of late marketing hype,, stick with what you get until you buy a laptop that already has it...

You need a so call "super machine" to run Windows Vista. XP is the best you can do for your baby... sorry.

the requirements for windows vista home rough are:
A 1 GHz processor
512 MB of RAM
A 20 GB hard drive next to 15 GB of free space
A DVD-Rom drive
if you wish to run home premium next to the aero feature, you will have need of 1 gig of knock against and a 128mb video card with 40gig hd instead of 20. thats in the region of it, hope it helps.
