Fixing a laptop eyeshade?

I accidentally stepped on my laptop and my peak is busted. My warrenty is up to that's no good. I turn it on and the blind looks like a bunch of ink blotches. The rest of the computer seem fine.
I was merely wondering if it's possible for the laptop screen to be fixed and roughly how much would it cost?

Just buy the parts and swap em. about 1 hour labor + parts
- you can achieve the parts from a variety of sources (search google for laptop displays)

it IS possible to fix it. What make and model laptop do you own? I replace lcd screens adjectives the time mostly on Dell and HP equipment.
Yes you can fix (replace) the LCD panel and most likely you can do it your self. I can attain replacement LCD panels for smaller quantity than $100 and I am sure you can do the same.
