Answers:
Yes, a Mac would probably be reasonably a bit better for you. First of all, nearby are no viruses, spyware, adware or anything of that sort on the Mac. You won't hold to worry going on for it again (unless you install Windows on the Mac too, and even then, individual when you're actually running Windows). Also, every Mac comes next to a suite of programs called iLife, which consent to you organize and share photos and video, and even create your own music and simple websites. I personally use iPhoto closely (we've been on a road trip this bygone month...LOTS of photos), and have found it's a big help out with organize them. There's a slight learning curve when you're switching from Windows, but near are plenty of helpful resources to catch you up to speed. Chances are, your friend will even be able to point shipshape stuff out to you and help you find any programs you requirement — and if not, there's other this site. :)
Depends if you have the money, is it going to be a desktop or laptop, do you own an iphone and/or an ipod. I personally love the window pc, basically because there is more programs and paraphernalia for it, and its cheap and easy to fix, but mac laptops are so much superior to laptop laptops, there cleaner, simply as fast but for faster, and more reliable. So not knowing more about the situation, I recommend a mac laptop or a laptop desktop. Also macs don't need virus protection b/c in that is no known virus for tiger OS.
Check Consumer Reports at www.consumerreports.com. They top rate the MacBook Pro for tech support and battery go. If you don't play games, just want a honourable computer that doesn't get virus, malware, or adware, get a Mac. Check the background store at Apple.
Well as far as the difference between Mac's and PC's I will simply say that its adjectives about the software. PC software is (mostly) a hopeless mess. With a PC you spend like mad more time trying to make it work. Mac's tend to be markedly stable and easy to use. I if truth be told use both since there are a few esoteric things I can one and only do on my PC. However, my everyday computer is a Mac.
Macs have deeply going for them. The software available to Mac users is high aspect. This does mean that the choice is smaller number but how many version of graphics manipulation packages do you need if the ones available work. MACs don't crash anything resembling as much as Windows. Unless there is some compelling intention like software just available in Windows I would reccommend MAC.
I BTW run Linux at home and Windows at work so I am can not be call biased. My reason for Linux is cost and Windows is a special program which will simply run on Windows.
Hoe this helps.
Macs are smaller amount vulnerable to virus than regualr pcs. The plea is because not a lot of populace use windows operating system than Mac systems. So it's easier for hackers and virus to access computers than Macs. Macs are more stable as well, they don't enjoy as many glitches and unstable programs than regular computers. The software for Macs are controlled but are really great softwares, especially when it comes towards graphics.
