if its contained by the adapter side not too much ...you could even do it urself if u get a sector from radioshack or somthing ... if its in the laptop side forget it .. ur gonna wage a couple hundred for that ..

It depends on the spawn and model of laptop. I assume you're talking in the order of the socket in the laptop, not the adapter itself. On some laptops the socket can be replaced glibly, on others it is integral to the motherboard. In the latter case, you requirement a whole current motherboard, which can be expensive, or someone who knows how to solder circuit boards.
