Your only solution be a SATA PCI card...unless you can get some sort of converter, which would suck because next you would only be running at IDE speeds.
You inevitability one of these from newegg:

You can buy an external hard drive encloser for SATA which can next connect to you PC by use of USB or 1394.
You will need any something like this (bridge)http://www.cooldrives.com/samibrcosadr.h...
or a PCI sata controller.

The individual way is to use a PCI card next to SATA ports, and even then it won't be as speedy as a true SATA connection. But better afterwards nothing since you already get the drive.
You might want to look into upgrading your motherboard. It's not that expensive today and there are lots of enormously good motherboard combos that include the CPU chip too.
You afterwards could use your new SATA drive and wallow in it's fast production and low power use.
If you do upgrade your motherboard, think something like your memory if it's compatible or not and you might need to procure a new CPU lover and heatsink just within case you step with a different type of CPU.
Good Luck!
type sata to settle in newegg's survey engine, and you should come up with plenty of stuff, only just make sure it is for sata drives to work on settle, and not the other way around. the product details should state which it is. also you can look at the item as very well, and see what ports it has on it.
also you may want to consider a sata to usb adapter or external cover, as you would get faser speed than settle, but if you are planning on using the sata drive as your main internal drive, afterwards this isn't an option really.
best of luck.
xoxide.com have adapters and i have bought from them and they own great prices(they beat tigerdirect and matched newegg)

You are going to inevitability a copy of windows install the card surrounded by your free pci slot, sata dosnt have slave/master so you wont own to worry just about that, boot up your comp, hold Delete when you are in the boot peak, to enter your bios screen and construct sure first access drive is your CD/DVD rom, when windows is loading everything to install itself you may own to hold 6 down if im not mistaken (you may not have to do this cant remeber havent installed a pci-sata card contained by about 4 years) anyways in recent times read the instructions if any come with it or look on the internet if what I own told you doesnt work out.
