8800 GTS pictographic card driver install?

You don't need to remove the previous driver to install the unsullied one. If the install manager give you trouble (which I doubt it), do it manually following this steps:
1). run the application (it will first extract the drivers required)
2). go to control panel -> system -> hardware -> device head -> display adapters -> 8800 GTS -> driver -> update driver
3). select the folder in which you extracted the drivers.
4). reboot.
don't use the one on the disc.
download one from nVidia's website, those are newer and should own most of the bugs fixed
go to nvidia.com next follow the instructions
uninstall the previous from add\remove programs
Did you first rollback the driver. This puts it to its original state. Go Control Panel>Appearance And Themes>Change Resolution>Advanced>Adaptor>Pr... Follow instructions.
Then walk and get Driver Cleaner this will verbs any remaining driver files for your card. NOTE:Only if you want to start fresh if not follow the subsequent instruction.
Go to the site of the card maker and seize the latest driver but win it before you rollback so later it is on hand to install afterwards.
