How can I erase DVD-RW?

The computer is competent to read from the disc but is not able to eraseit.I could erase alike disc using same computer and drive before.But presently I am not able to erase impossible to tell apart disc.Can anybody tell me what the problem is and afford the solution?

Try right clicking it and formatting it. Ive not dealth with a CD-RW beforehand...

Are you sure it is a CD RW or DVD RW and not a compact disc R or DVD R, because R means writable, and RW ability re-writable...

Other than that, usually you need a software close to NERO which has a FORMAT cd odds in it, to clear out a rewritable disk so you can use it again.
Look at the moved out panel there should be a erase disc.
use some specific software
resembling
Nero burning rome

and choose recorder menu in recorder menu choose erase revritable medium .. after a little porthole appears and choose full erase and pres erase button.. it will take a while... 3-5 minutes.. and it will be resembling new:)
