20 +4 pin power supply?
Answer:
The power supply you listed contained by your link will work beside either a 20 pin or 24 pin motherboard nouns. The 4 pin segment just snaps bad the connector on the PSU and dangles near if you don't need it.
A word of notify, though: If you have a P4 motherboard, don't mistakenly plug the 4 pin adapter segment into the P4 4 pin connector on the motherboard. There is a separate 4 pin connector that go there. It's to a certain extent obvious, but I have a client who fried his motherboard and new PSU by making this mistake!
You hold it correct. They come apart.
20 + 4 is 20 pin connection beside a seperate 4 pin connection.
2 different cable.
The 20 +4 pin connector means you bring a 20 pin main power connector plus a 4 pin block i.e. used to power the CPU on many motherboards. If you expect a 24 pin connector then you stipulation an cheap adapter like the one found here: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/...
Just another 4 rope pigtail with a square connector. If you own no place to plug it, let it dangle. The extra power perform different functions on different brands of motherboard, but essentially provides more power for the modern boards in a more well-run configuration.
well if your PSU's motherboard connectors pry past its sell-by date and pry on then u cna use it but you can also receive a 20-24pin connector adpater too for it or a 20-24 pin adapter so you won't have to buy a different PSU but it's nice to have a PSU beside the extra 4pins that can snap on and off for your differnt PSU pin inputs
