A single 512 MG RAM or 2 equal 256 MG?

Although It is better tO use twO 256 RAMs. BcOs if One RAM faiLs, after you hav tO repLace OnLy a 256. You can aLso use the cOmputer untiLL u repLace it with the anOther One.
To your computer they are alike.
The single 512MB is better because it leaves you at least one slot to include more RAM later.
Just put 1 tantamount 512 MB of RAM so you can put another RAM on the other slot.
If you have a Dual Channel motherboard, consequently two 256mb would be better. If not then it doesn't issue which you get. I would do one 512mb stick, after later you could put in another 512mb stick to increase performance.
