I am have 25-in-1 card reader with my HCL Beanstalk PC. While i am competent to copy files from MMC to PC, while copying to MMC from PC, the system throws error saying write protected. I tried one and the same MMC with my brother's Hcl Beanstalk PC and files could be written to my MMC from PC. I logged a phone to HCL service center for this. On attending the call the service lead says that it is mentioned within the check list that the given device is with the sole purpose a card reader and cannot write to it. In he market, if you buy a Card Reader, you can read and write contained by the MMC. HCl clevely plays the word gimmic and said that my brother would have downloaded some software for writing to the memory card. And near the one HCL providid it be not possible to write. I am going to move the consumer forum for this.
