Anyone tried cleaning computer keyboards surrounded by the dishwasher?

Actually, contrary to other answers, your friend is right, it is supposed to work! The upright itself does not contain anything that can be damaged by river and cleaning in a dishwasher and drying thoroughly is supposed to manufacture them like clean.
HOWEVER, this is not something that I would try, personally I remove adjectives the keys, vacuum and after replace.
It should also be remembered for anyone wishing to try the dishwasher proposal that this will definitely NOT work beside laptops!! The electronics of a laptop keyboard are totally different to that of a everyday keyboard and any solution will destroy a laptop completely.

I have hear of people hosing rotten Keyboards before, and letting them totally dry since turning them on..
but.... why?? Keyboards are so cheap now-a-days.. It probably will cost you more in electricity & detergent to bathe it in a dishwasher...
Btw, I do surmise this can be done if you let it dry until that time plugging it back surrounded by.
this would fry the circuits and make it unusable. wet is not suppossed to touch the inside of anything electronic. i spilled a bit of tea on my keyboard and close to 5 of the keys dont work. this is a VERY desperate idea! your friend be BSing you. to clean a upright id unplug it, shake it out, and verbs it with a wet through (and rung out ) paper towel (only above the surface) or buy one of those compressed nouns cans, and spray it between the key.

It does verbs it but!!!! open up the upright that the Chip or plastic chip out and then verbs it and then it should work merely let it dry for a few hours..... man these empire are idiots. iv done it befor i work on computers for a living. so yeah i find way's when im lazy.
