Will Photoshop 9 run slow on a Pentium 4 1,6GHz/Cache 256/FSB 400MHz and 512RAM?
Answers:
Do you mean Paintshop pro 9? or Corel Paintshop etc? If so consequently they will run fine. If you do effects or filters etc that affect the unharmed picture then it may clutch a few seconds to process that but it should run fine.
That should also do fine for even CS2 after it finishes loading and it will also bog down beside alot of layers and effects adjectives.
This is assuming you plan on NOT running protection software which always uses a perfect amount of pc resources. Norton and Mcafee for example will slow the notebook down and take up memory etc.
i dont know in the region of 9, but CS2 kinda laggs on my comp, and our comps are similar, mines a little bit difficult up, but then again CS2 take up a lot more, you should be fine, ego imagine
It will unquestionably run slow. You may become frustrated it is so slow. The RAM and to a lesser extent the processor are going to snuff you. Photoshop uses a lot of resources so 256 probably wont cut it. And the video card doesnt really thing too much it will just display better/worse imagery not affect the file itself. Upgrade RAM at least possible.
The easiest way to convey that is to look at the minimum requirements on the box that come with it, or at a website you get it from. Match up the stats, and you should be able to report easily. That's a more or less slow, older computer you hold, so I'd like to voice that it would run kinda slow, but I could be wrong. I can tell you that it's not going to be blazing speeds, but you most possible should be able to capture it to work.
