Computers don't recognise my address?
Answer:
Most UK companies introduction their address data from the PAF (Postcode Address Finder) supplied by the Royal Mail. This contains every representative address in the UK, and is frequently updated.
The facts for the PAF is provided to the Royal Mail by the Highways or Engineers department of your local council. If you believe that your address has be incorrectly registered or names, later you need to contact this division of your council. It will pinch some time to filter through to the PAF, however.

Why are you trying to make clear to your computer where you (and presumably it) live? Is it expected to pop out for a packet of fags and never make it home?
You can't - you involve the computer to update the database they use. I had this problem for a while as we lived on a 'new' road and I lately had to type it surrounded by manually. They update quite habitually though, so you may surprise yourself one day!
