My Dell won't boot up!?
If I try to press F2 or F12 (during boot up) to gain the Set up or Boot menu (it may/may not) go to that eyeshade, but I can't do anything else there.
Is this making any sense?
Answer:
This is prolly a hardware problem. You may enjoy a corrupt hard drive, or some other internal hardware hiccup.
You may need to purloin it to a computer repair place...Geek Squad is awesome.
May be hardware problem. Check your hardware, hard-disk, RAM, etc..
If you can't get to the boot meny (bios) using F2 or F12, what do you win? Does it shut down?
Is this a desktop?
If so, your video card is probably loose. The computer will beep tootle beep forever until you shut it stale. Open your computer and just push down on any cards that are added within the slots.
If that does't help or its a laptop, if could be your Ram. Again. near laptop or desktop, try opening the computer and pushing down on the memory sticks.
Actually F10 is what you want to touch when booting up. Or boot up from a disk if you have one. You might also try to boot up next to an antivirus CD such as Nortons. It will check for virus and fix them if this is the problem.
