look, Vista as a new program that have been tested for over a year, still have some issues, The issues them selves deal beside three main catagories, hardware support, software support and code to be precise not secure.
hardware support issues include the use of unquestionable hardware and drivers that support that software. Vista required signed drivers, those are drivers that microsoft has reviewed from the hardware manufacutures, Microsoft have delibertly decided that some hardware will not be supported, to be exact their right. they cant keep supporting equipment to be precise old and no longer supported by even the companies that put together it. Also many companies are not releasing latest drivers because of the cost of certifying.
Software support, is a most important issue with abundant software companies, basic ms software is running fine. software from some of the central software companies is still be tweaked and may not yet be primed. I am seeing some commercial users that their software will not be ready for 6 months and some companies own said they are not planning to upgrade to vista. so you have that issue
The so call bugs, they will always be near us, no matter how in good health ms tries to write software, there will other be holes that some hacker or virus can take authority of. patches, firewalls, and payment are your only chance. look xp is still being attacked and to be precise 7 years old, 98 is pretty locked, but no one is writing attacks on that, Linux get attacked, Macs get attacked, that's existence.
for most home users vista is fine, you just enjoy to have ample memory 1gb plus and a good video card 128mb plus and you should be ok.
