1TB internal drives?

lately a quick examine... I'm thinking about getting a 750gb internal drive for my workstation but want to wait for rock-hard drive manafacturers to start bringing out 1tb drives. does anyone know when these are expected to start being manafactured

Answer:
Why not fit a 250 GB C: drive for your operating system and applications plus a 750 GB D: drive for notes? That would give you a total of 1 TB and the collateral of not having your background on the same drive/partition as everything else.
Imagine defragging that bugger! lol
I be expecting them by the end of 2006. My guess: Any morning now.
I be under the indication that Dell is supplying some new machines beside 1 Terabyte machines right now ?
However, I would turn for a mix of drives. You would have to own a decent backbone up as well. The stabillity of the drive is a factor as okay, and I would definitely draw from a backup and and APC ups for damage protection( Or mitigation)...
Jings, simply imagine if THAT 'un go up the swannee & you ain't done a backup . . . !
