Second hdd press?
Answer:
Since you mention "slave", this must be an IDE drive (SATA doesn't own master / slave) and there must be two IDE drives. These own 40 pin connectors with two rows of 20 pins respectively. Each of these cables can support two devices, a master and a slave. It is best NOT to put another easier said than done drive on a cable already going to a optical drive. If your existing hard drive is already using one of the connectors of a 40 pin cable and the other is free, you can plug it within there. You will enjoy to determine if the original drive is set up as "master" or "cable select" and set the pullover on your new drive to "slave" or "cable select" respectively.
This shouldn't enjoy anything to do with the internet - if your drive is installed correctly and recognizable you will be able to format it within the "Disk Management" window.
Good Luck
What do you denote, "pickup the internet?" When hard drives are daisy chain (as in non-SATA configurations), one is the master and one is the slave.
I don't really know what do you niggardly with "pick up the internet". For any database that you download from the Internet you can "pick" the place to put it on you computer and that includes the slave HDD. The IE program will remain on the master (C:) where it is the place that window will look for it. Now you can also pick where within the computer to put a program, just clear sure that the shortcuts to that program have the right location.
