Brand current computer. DVD/CD drive not playing discs?

I just this minute purchased a brand new emachines T6534 desktop computer. I of late hooked it up and it seems to run fine, except the DVD/CD drive isn't working. I tried a couple of music CDs and a couple of autoload program discs. Nothing happen. I looked at the drive folder and it shows nothing is contained by the drive when a disc is. The computer says that the drivers are current. Any advocate? Thanks.

Answer:
install the right drivers
That's EMachines for ya. Contact them and they will troubleshoot with you...it's probably a desperate drive. EMachines are made from VERY cheap parts (which is why they are so cheap to buy). Since it's brand new and still below warranty, they will send you a contemporary drive that you can install yourself...or you can send it to them (but I wouldn't recommend it since you will hold to pay for shipping).
Take it final to the store.

Seriously, take it backbone to the store!

If you just not long purchased a product that does not work ESPECIALLY an e-Machine take it spinal column.
