Safe it is not, but that's the risks you take for downloading unauthorized stuff so don't don't complaint.
Another thing, I'm sure partially or maybe even adjectives here saying NO STOP, ITS NOT SAFE, I'm damn sure you hypocrites use it also.
Oh no, it's not not dangerous at all. First of adjectives everything you download with this is illicit. Second it also downloads viruses into your computer lacking knowing it. I had this problem and have to get rid of it and bring back an antivirus. And still some things were not here as not everything could be removed.
if u are not experienced with p2p apps its patently not safe ..
its not past the worst or legal and it does slow notebook performance purely pay the 99 cents for a song its not alot
yes its protected if you dont download "exe." files because they normal hold viruses.Don't verbs about adjectives the people similar to oh its not leagal like a cop is gonna run around and arrest ever one that uses limewire
No way is it sheltered. Puts all sorts of spyware etc on your computer. Also allows ethnic group to take things past its sell-by date your computer (peer to peer).
No it is not 100 percent safe, no business who says it is. You can if you are not scant infect your computer with virus's and spyware. It can slow the internet down if it is running and downloading songs. That happen when eve rmy sister is downloading songs off of it, it slow our intact network surrounded by the house done, no matter what computer your on.
It's up to you if you want to catch rid of it.
Limewire is NOT safe. There is seriously of spyware on there. It doesn't come from the Limewire software itself, but from other users. I would stop using it and scan your PC for virus.

another 25% say yes and another 25% says no

Hi Smart,
First Limewire is permissible and contains no viruses or adware.
To use Limewire soundly and legally is up to you.
What Limewire does is allow you to connect to millions of other computers worldwide. Some of these computers may try to elapse a virus to you. As you probably already do be sure you have an anti virus running adjectives the time.
It is illegal to download and use copyrighted software. Everyone think of Limewire as a place to download illegal software, music and movies and tons do use it for that purpose but there are tons of decriminalized files that you can share and download.

NO DO NOT USE LIMEWIRE!!!!! If you are not an experienced user, heck even if you are....Limewire is ***NOT** where you want to be downloading stuff from. Like so copious others before it, Limewire have become the frontline is a battle against Intertnet Piracy. As such, heaps policing agencies monitor it's usage and what is being traded. Some will even affix "bogus" files renamed to popular songs or movies, which instead contain viruses, or root kit, or keyloggers, etc. If you want a safer alternative, Try using Bit Torrent instead.
I have limewire and it didnt slow down my computer n i enjoy alot of songs
When the software (Lime wire) accesses other peoples computers (peers/hosts) and starts the download of anything, if there is anything horrid within the the download, you automatically receive that wicked software (virus etc), unless your anti virus picks it up and warns you, your PC will unquestionably become bogged down with virus etc, sometimes your anti virus cannot shift such stuff as they nearly always plonk them selves into your system32 folder, you consequently need to use protected mode to get rid of them, even next safe mode does not allow the removal of some viruses/worms etc, consequently you have to look around for special removal tools that assassinate the process and allow the removal, now do you really want to turn through all of this for the sake of a few freebies, obviously it is up to you, but my advice is uninstall it, do scan to see if there is anything unpleasant on there, lime line is known to slow PC show, but viruses will slow you up as powerfully and do damage.

As soon as you connect to the Internet you open a port on your computer. Download a folder and you are inviting something in. Thats it.
