Answer:
do u run a wireless nouns thru your dsl? if so, is it secure? could be others are rhythm into your connection cause it to slow down?
pay attention when you are connected to the lattice what are the running processes , seems to me it is a spy ware of some nature , as soon as you connect these programs takes abundantly of your machine resources , memory and processor which trade name loading files painly slow.
so just monitor running processes and compare when you are not connected and investigate what are these additional proc' are .
You enjoy a security part turned on that is scan these files when you try to open them beside an internet connection contained by an active state.

You simply need to identify it & configure it to not scan 'local' files...

Good luck.

Maybe you enjoy security software or firewall that solitary runs when you're connected that slows your computer down. Try disabling some of it and see what happens.

And it's other possible that you have spyware or some kindly of malware that may not be getting detected, so always consider that. Anti-virus definition can't detect everything.
when your connected to the internet your memory is bieng used in the framework so yea its gonna open slower mine does like peas in a pod thing i i get a 2.9 gig proc and 1.48 see of ram same entity happens to me ..
To chime surrounded by with the others I hold to say that you enjoy some sort of background services (Spyware, Trojan) i.e. robbing your bandwidth and CPU time that makes things run slow.

If you own a firewall setup, or not, try running Zonealarm Pro which can be run for free. Run that and check on whatever is zapping your processes and consequently shut them down.

Hope this helps.
run a program approaching security job manager to see what processes are if truth be told running when connected to the internet, your antivirus and anti spy program may not be detecting something that is taking up resources as it may be identified as a service or requisite process rather than a nasty program....also could be that you have your antivirus set to monitor local files and folders for any change and its scanning the files when you sympathetic them and thats causing the slow down....or could basically be that you have alot of environment programs runnig and then first showing the files just add another process to the list and the resources are human being used up.
An internet connection can become slow or stop working due to various reasons depending on the type of the nouns. Many of the problems can be solved by making software changes or small hardware corrections. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yl62gz
