Which of these computers would you recommend for me?
What is the main differences between these two different computers/processors? Which would you recommend? Which would be the best choice for running mutiple programs at once and the best choice for working next to graphics with paint shop? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

definetly move about with the dell because intel i believe is far more reliable and it is what i other use and will forever. the only point is that you didnt say how much knock against you will get next to the dell. you did for the amd. RAM is just as importan but for more than a cpu. i would without a doubt win the dell.

definetly dell, hp sucks! ..unless you dont mind calling hp everyday with problems and not self able to apprehend a word the technician is saying..next go w/hp
I'd progress with the dell ,because intel processor's are more advanced than amd .
Get the Dell. The Core 2 Duo is by far a supperior processor. Not one and only does it have double the smooth 2 cache but it also has three times the bus speed.
Leave AMDs capably alone. Go for the processor that the professionals go for... INTEL !! Dell is also a terribly good brand even though you will enjoy to deal next to the poor English of an indian lady surrounded by India when you telephone for information !
For me if you asked roughly the price and the way you will used for graphics, the first one is OK and a further good something like HP is if you will upgrade your VGA adapter with any brand it will work.
Dell is also OK, but sometimes it furnish you problem regarding the upgrade of VGA adapter even the memory upgrade.
I assume this will help you to establish think in the region of the cost, the way you will used the computer. As i'd see your requirements is not much, the important entry based on your requirements you call for a better VGA adapter, memory and the speed of your harddisk.
