My PC still runs slow, what else can I do?

There are deeply of reasons a computer slows down.
The first place I look is adjectives the register "dirt".

Next is adjectives the back-ground programs you may be running.
In the bottom right of your task block you will a lot of them.
If you automatically turn on lots of framework programs and especially internet programs they will really bog you down.
Only open the critical ones when you boot up and you can expand the others when you need them.
Next is your rock-hard drive fragmentation.
click on My computer.
At the hard drive, right click and select properties.
The second tab have all the verbs em up, check em out and defrag programs. Defrag for sure and be prepared for up to 1 hour.
Without knowing more about the computer hardware, it's tough to enunciate what else to do.
The shot gun may be the answer.
i believe virus
Well if you wanna ur computer to be a bullet train ten don't install any of those speed breakers i.e. Antivirus Softwares. they just interfere surrounded by everything and everywhere. Also try Reformatting...
try uninstalling all the programs that u no longer use. could be a virus too....or perchance u need to upgrade ur system by adding together more memory or something?
Run... type msconfig and uncheck everything you don't need surrounded by Startup
1. See how much RAM you have. You have need of atleast 300MB in a PC beside many apps.
2. Remove items from your desktop. Slows down abundantly.
3. Stop virus scans, especially if you use Norton. This can slow it down profusely too.
4. Stop all unnecessary milieu processes like anti spy ware , anti virus etc. Put them on scheduler when the PC is usually unused.
what's the Operation System you use? what i use presently is solaris(a OS of Sun), or you can use linux fedora, it's very swift safe and undemanding to use.
