My CPU is not running at its advertise speed, what the hell?

Sounds like a BIOS setting... Who installed it for you? Ask them if they remember making change in the BIOS. What processor did you hold before?
I presume you must hold a laptop. Well one cause, is that if you have a dataminer virus that would slow down your CPU some. When was the final time you defrag your computer. Check beside a different store and just describe them that you want to upgrade your cpu and if they could tell you what you hold and what and how much an upgrade would cost. perchance youre right...sometimes you have to be in motion to Bios settings and make some adjustment..I know this but cant tell you wich exactly...but have the same problem and I friend told me...
Many things can result in your CPU not to run at top speed, do you have adequate Ram and is the ram in haste enough for the processor? is the motherboard rate for the processor and does it have a nifty enough side bus speed? adjectives of that has a pose on processor speed. And the programs you have loaded can produce it to run slower a virus can cause it to not run at it's advertise speed. when they rate the processor it is rated at it's height performance below ideal conditions and everything anyone set just right, hope this help.
